Let’s keep this short and sweet, shall we? Ugh. Monday’s. Here’s how to set yourself up for a great week.
1. Wake up earlier…
Studies show these that people who wake up earlier and hit the gym are more proactive during the day. That can be answering emails in early a.m, meditation, yoga session, HIIT, or listening to a podcast.
2. Take 5- 10 minutes to reflect…
on your goals for the day. Focus on what you have planned each part of the day and see yourself accomplishing it.
3. Eat a healthy breakfast.
This will provide you with the fuel to tackle your top priorities. (planning your week in advance means planning your meals in advance if you want to be super productive, energized and stay away from sugary sweets, fast foods) What you put into your body has a direct effect on your productivity, efficiency and mental clarity.
4. Go to bed earlier Sunday evening.
Meditate or listen to an empowering podcast or song before bed. You will feel more rested when you wake up and you will have energy, vigor and enthusiasm to begin your day. There’s nothing as energizing and powerful as getting a head start of your day instead of rushing and going through the motions.
5. Schedule your actions and priorities into your calendar.
These days everybody has a smart phone with a calendar, schedule your takes by how you want your goals each day to go, set alarms and attack them.
6. Create measures of accountability.
Are you really going after your goals or just talking about it? Set your weekly goals and give them to a friend to make you stay true to the task at hand. If you do this you’re not only putting yourself out there for a better more productive you, your friends are also holding you to this no matter the task.
7. Get the most out of every day.
This may sound like a cliche, but each and every day is a gift. Don’t indefinitely delay happiness in your life or settle for being bored. Be inspired. Live with vitality. Enjoy life every day. Call a friend,you haven’t spoke with for a while and reconnect, go for lunch, that small conversation can make your day,and even your week.
