Sit-ups were king. Straight Rocky Balboa status from back in the day. Then the ab wheel. Then planks. Shortly after that, hanging leg lifts. The list goes on. But these days we know the traditional sit-up or crunch isn’t necessarily good for us, and there’s other ways we need to train the core for strength and power (not just shredded abs).
