Whenever you read about a successful person you always hear how they have a solid routine. Do you think this is a coincidence? I tend to believe they are on to something. You have to build a plan for life to succeed. Your plan should be consistent, healthy, and fun. So how do you decide what to do to help bring consistency to your life?
Read these following three ideas listed below and integrate them into your daily routine for growth in every aspect of your life.
1. Stimulate Your Mind
Long after our bodies decide to grow old and begin to fail on us. We will still have our minds. Just like a muscle, we have to continue to stimulate this area and allow it to grow. This can be done in a multitude of ways: You can read, do crosswords, play on Lumosity, etc. Do something that challenges your mind for at least 20 minutes a day and watch as your reap the rewards!
2. Stretch
“Yoga isn’t for guys”, “I am young I’ll be fine”, “I can already touch my toes I don’t need help.” These are all statements from the naïve. In a life of staring at our phones, and sitting at computers we as humans are all out of whack! Remember you only get one body and you need to take care of it. Twenty-minutes of any form of flexibility training can change your life.
3. Plank
A strong core is important. Everything stems from your trunk of your body and if that component is weak, everything suffers. Try at least one plank a day to failure. If you are competitive like me keep track of it, maybe even try new versions. Keep it interesting and you will notice how much better you feel in no time.
All these steps will take you less than 45 minutes to do throughout your day. I know the world is a busy fast pace environment, but 45 minutes for better health can be accomplished by everyone.
